To date, more than 700 migrant organizations in 20 cities have joined together in the federal association to form cross-origin and cross-cultural as well as secular alliances. The federal association offers its members a platform for exchange and nationwide networking, as well as further development of their competencies. It represents the interests of local networks of migrant organizations at the federal level and advocates for more voice and participation of migrant perspectives. As a federal association, it is also a contact for politics and civil society, as well as an advisor on issues of integration policy, participation, development policy and anti-racism
